Amplifying a National Movement Around Black Fatherhood
Problem
The Dad Gang, a national movement redefining perceptions of Black fatherhood, sought a unified PR and digital strategy for its 2023 multi-city “March of Dads “tour with LEGO—including cohesive messaging, stronger media relationships, and government engagement.
Solution
We developed and executed a comprehensive communications strategy, coordinating with city and state officials, engaging national and regional journalists, producing co-branded creative assets, and delivering real-time digital support to align messaging across partners and civic leaders.
Results
The campaign secured national coverage across outlets such as Yahoo, ABC News, Slate, TheGrio, AOL, NewsOne, WHYY, and regional outlets—reaching 3.75B+ media impressions. Government participation expanded significantly, with elected officials joining marches and amplifying outreach, positioning The Dad Gang as a leading national voice reshaping cultural narratives around Black fatherhood.
